As part of our pre-recruitment activities, ShARE IIT Bombay conducted a session taken by IITB alumnus from the class of ‘21, Archit Nanda, Founder and CEO, CoinMint. In the session, Archit shared his experiences with starting up, and how one should learn the importance of the problem itself.
The session was well appreciated by enthusiastic participants as IITB students stayed engaged and inquisitive.
It was followed by a problem-solving challenge for participants to don a CEO’s hat, apply leadership and problem-solving techniques and come up with exciting solutions with a Do Well Do Good mindset.
ShARE IIT Bombay provided an exciting opportunity for its members to deep dive into preparing for consulting case studies through the two-session event “Acing Case Prep”.
The interactive sessions were conducted by Tanul Gupta, an Incoming Associate at BCG and a former member of ShARE, who took up Market Entry and Profitability cases, followed by Siddhant Nahata, a former intern at NRI & Incoming BA at McKinsey & Co. for the second session, taking up unconventional cases and pricing.

Our first event of the year 2021-22 was a pre-recruitment event consisting of a guest speaker session and a problem-solving competition involving principles of design thinking.
The interactive session was conducted by Mr. Chandra Maloo, alumni from the CSE batch of ’17. He is currently working as a Product Manager at CRED and has also worked with Samsung Electronics, South Korea, as a Technical Project Manager.
The competition that followed required students in teams of a maximum of three to apply the concepts and learn real-life problem-solving.
Every year, ShARE organizes a global event: the World Seminar where ShARE students can get together around ShARE’s mission– do well do good.
During those events, we like to confront the experience of world leaders with the fresh ideas and aspirations of energetic and bright students. Students can meet Global Leaders, interact together and collaborate on projects with other students from different countries
ShARE has organized more than 10 such global events in the past in Beijing, Shanghai, Seoul, Porto, Bangalore, Delhi, and our own IIT Bombay in 2013 and 2017.
Paisa, Parliament, and Policy is a simulation game to test strategy making and leadership skills. Participants used the concepts of game theory and their intuition as to what an ideal government should do with its policy-making and budget allocation to run their country efficiently.
This epic battle had each team as an acting government of a third-world country. They are given a situation where you would be to make appropriate decisions.
The game based on pure logic requires participants to try to optimize the resources with them to take their empires to prosperity. The country with maximum long-term growth wins.
La Guerre, conducted in association with Energy Club IITB was organized in collaboration with Avenues, the annual business festival of SJMSOM. This collaboration resulted in more than 150 participants for the game.
The game simulated a market where different participants had different resources and needed to acquire some more resources from other teams. The participants had to interact with other teams and trade materials to maximize their wealth. It was a close competition and some of the teams did extremely well in the final round of asset valuation.
